A beautiful wedding it was. It took us more than 8 hours journey to be there, witnessing her joy and happiness being a wife to a man whom she loves deeply. Some of us willingly took leave to travel with the day light and some courageously travel at night. Restless, by ignoring our beauty sleep, we just don't care. Anything for our beloved Ty. ;)

A marvellous ANTM-like homestay in the middle of Kota Bharu. TY-ra mail! Haha. Worth the long tiring journey. Seriously.

My own beadworks on the chest of my kurung. I know it is too simple but I love it anyway. Fit the purpose, to kill the pale look of my plain kurung and to avoid being similar to a pustakawan sekolah. You know, that purple uniform at school? That was exactly how my kurung looked like without that beads. Hehe.

These girls are my housemates slash sisters slash best friends. We've been together through ups and down, laughs and tears, thick and thin for nearly seven years. My lovely ladies. ;)

Too sweet. Love the way our kain laid nicely on the dais with the tone. Tips for a nice wedding photo, you must know how to play around with colours. 

No more man in the world. That's what we call Girl Power! Haha~

And a superb goodbye breakfast at Nasi Kerabu Cherang before we left KB on the next day. Must go! (again)

just for the eyes, not the pocket

It's 2012. Time accelerates but I am still here, being the same Miss Omay. I still act like a kid at times, still not matured enough, still not able to put on weight even I eat a lot, still capable in making stupid errors, still not stable when walking with extra inches, still have pimples, still feeling super lazy to wake up from bed, still can't afford for a vacation overseas, still having the same boyfriend (eh?), still afraid of cats, and the still list continues so and so. In conclusion, I didn't improve much from year to year. So is it obvious that I'm the kind that don't really set high expectations in life? Hehe. Whatever. But hey, at least I earn my own money for a living and I'm really grateful for that . ;)

1st day of 2012, I still love to spend my weekend with my dearies and will always do. Shopping? Nope, just a normal window shopping which is a really good practice to feed your eyes with beautiful things without the cash flows.

This time, it was a successful window shopping. Walking without spending. Truly a healthy lifestyle. Let's manage our money wisely this year. Happy New Year people. :)

What makes you happy?

When you are not working, away from boss and documents, spending your precious weekend with lovely sunshines, staying for a night at a nostalgic place, and the most important thing is, sleeping and lying freely on the UTP bed. Maakk aiiii, sangat sedap comfy gila I tell you! =)

This is muka-muka kepuasan-dapat-tidur-tilam-UTP

And the main purpose of visiting UTP is not because of the tilam only, it's MAR's convocation!!!. I'm really proud and happy for you babe. You did it!

'Kecoh la minah dan mamat kat atas nih. Bercinta punya la lama, kahwin tak jugak. ' Pasti itulah kata-kata kurang manis yang bermain di kotak fikiran rakan-rakan seperjuangan yang sudah bosan dan lali dengan kisah percintaan kami, bukan? Tapi tidak mengapa, slow-slow la kan, tak perlu terburu-buru. Biaq p la depa kawen dulu, sebab depa dah ready mentally, physically and financially. Tapi untuk I yang masih muda remaja dan belum mencecah 24 ni kan (auuwww, i'm so young!!), I'm still not well-prepared actually. Bangun pagi pon liat, macam mana nak prepare sahur untuk suami. Betul?

Berbalik kepada tajuk asal, 'ambil berkat'. Ok la tu kan, at least aku ada la jugak pergi wedding kawan-kawan, konon-konon untuk 'ambil berkat'. Kira ada la jugak insiatif untuk mendorong diri  melangkah ke alam baru. (cehh, padahal seronok sebab dapat makan free, dasar gadis kurus kering)

Tapi aku sangat kagum la dengan diri sendiri, sebab apa? Asal aku pergi wedding je, baju aku mesti same kaler dengan theme, padahal tak tau pon theme wedding tu apa. Tengok, power tak power aku ni? 

Memang power. Ops, sorry for being awesome! =)

p/s: doakan lah yang terbaik untuk couple-couple tua macam dua orang kat atas nih dan untuk mereka-mereka yang single di luar sana.

Sewaktu di UTP dulu, Miss Omay telah menjalankan sebuah siasatan tentang Mechanical Engineering students dan Chemical Engineering students. Berdasarkan hasil kajian selama 5 tahun, 1 konklusi telah dapat dikenalpasti.

Jejaka-jejaka MECHE suka bercinta dengan awek-awek CHEME. Betul. Tak tipu.

Sebab apa? Mari kita siasat dan menganalisa sebab-sebab di sebalik pemerhatian ini.

1. MECHE dan CHEME banyak combine kelas semenjak dari foundation lagi. Mungkin sebab tu lah banyak interaksi yang telah berlaku di antara 2 course ni.

2. Budak lelaki MECHE lebih otai dan handsome dan awesome.

3. Budak perempuan CHEME lebih ayu dan hot dan awesome jugak!!! =) 

4. MECHE dan CHEME course yang paling glamour kat UTP. (tak ada kaitan)

5. MECHE dan CHEME memang ada chemistry yang sangat kuat.

rule no 5: Avoid fast food, eat more nasik

what i love most about this raya (besides the quite-impressive amount of duit raya);

hihi.. can't stop smiling when they used the word 'tall'. yeah, i may not be as tall as you, JEN and TY and FATH. eh fathanah tu tinggi ke? but at least i'm not the shortest girl in the class anymore. hihi. syukur di atas tumbesaran ini. have u ever experienced/imagined standing at the very front of a line during assembly every week?? i mean every single week?? penat tau. standing still in one hour, facing teachers' faces. limited movement! kalau tersembang orang sebelah pengawas tulis nama, kalau terduduk pon kena tulis nama. pity little shorty and tiny humairah. yes, i'm not lying, that was before.my primary school's history.

but hey, look at me now.. <----- unsur mengada dan sedikit riak.

still, am not the tallest. but a remarkable growth in vertical direction makes me look taller. =)

me: erm, dah lama kot tak drive. ada lesen ja, tapi simpan.

nor: haha! sama!

me: abes tu macam mana kita nak meronggeng jauh-jauh ni. hahahaha~

nor: tu la, isk. motor pon tak reti bawak ni.

me: motor tu memang la. lagi penakut kot nak bawak. sama la kita!

nor: tau tak pa. tapi dulu pernah amik lesen motor sat. tapi sampai L ja. tak mau dah sambung. takut!

me: ya allah! nor! sama la kita!!! lesen motor kami pon takat L. pastu tak mau jugak sambung.hahahaha!!!

nor: haha. lepas tu orang yang ajar motor tu suruh test bawak motor kat luar litar ja.

sekali dipandang, telur pindang

Setelah selesai tidur enak di siang hari seperti biasa, saya dengan mata yang masih kelabu dan otak yang belum dapat mentafsirkan maklumat dengan berkesan (orang muda kata 'blur') terus meluru ke dapur. tempat faveret la tu. tiba-tiba nampak 5 biji telur yang luar biasa. eh, TELUR PINDANG!. dengan muka bangga bercampur sedikit riak, (sebab saya kenal itu telur pindang) saya pun terus bertanya kepada family.

Miss Omay: Mana dapat teluq pindang ni?

Mak: Tadi Kak Ilah bagi, ada orang Johor bagi kat dia. Yah tau teluq pindang??

Abah: Wahhh, macam mana hang tau tu orang panggil teluq pindang???

Hoihoi. memang bertambah la kekembangan saya. da bajet da parent saya mesti kagum dengan pengetahuan am saya ni. jadi dengan selamba saya menjawab..

Miss Omay: Dah pernah makan kat UTP dulu. member bagi.

itulah alkisahnya. bukan nak menekankan sikap riak yakni sifat mazmumah diriku ini. cuma, rasa untung sangat-sangat sebab housemates kat UTP dulu boleh dikatakan 1 Malaysia. memang semua melayu, tapi lain-lain negeri. maka dengan itu, lainlah sedikit budaya dan adat ni yang boleh kami share sebagai pengetahuan am. hehe. terima kasih Nuzul Hazwani kerana memperkenalkan saya dengan telur pindang pada suatu ketika dahulu. sebagai orang utara, ceq memang tak pernah tengok dan tak pernah tau pon pasai teluq pindang ni abaq hang. naseb baik hang bagi nooo.

Telur pindang yang merupakan masakan tradisional yang terkenal terutamanya di negeri Johor. Ia merupakan telur yang direbus dalam air herba selama beberapa hari. (curi ayat Wikipedia)
